These Terms and Conditions explain how you may access and use Ask Sookie's services and website. By booking a session, reading the blog, or otherwise using the site, you are agreeing to these terms. If something here feels unclear, reach out and ask. Friendly and human is the goal, even when we're being properly legal about it.

 

1. Introduction

  • Who we are. "Ask Sookie," "we", "us", and "our" refer to the business operating at www.asksookie.com.

  • What these terms cover.  These terms apply to your use of the website, the "Ask Me" advice column blog, and any services you purchase or receive from us. 

  • Eligibility. You must be 18 years or older to use the service or submit questions to the blog. By using the site, you represent that you're legally able to agree to these terms. 

  • Updates. We may update these terms from time to time to keep things accurate and safe. The "Effective date" above will change when we do. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.

2.1 Tarot Reading

  • Tarot readings intended to offer perspective, reflection, and inspiration.

  • Sessions may be delivered via recorded or written format, as described at booking. 

  • Tarot is interpretive. Results may vary from person to person.

  • We DO NOT offer medical advice, pregnancy prediction, or anything in regards to medical or specific dates (including marriage, death, etc). If you're not sure, please ask.

2.2 Astrology Readings and Astrology-Based Questions

  • Personalized astrology sessions and Q&A intended to support self-awareness, timing, and reflection. 

  • You may be asked to provide birth details. This usually includes date, time, and place of birth. If you do not know your time of birth, we can discuss options and limitations. 

  • Interpretations are symbolic and trend based, not deterministic. They do not predict guaranteed outcomes. 

  • Any electional, transit, or timing insights are informational. You decide how you use them. 

  • Submitted astrology questions for the public blog may be edited for clarity and privacy. Do not include sensitive personal data you would not want published. 

  • By submitting a question to the public blog, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish, edit, and display your submission on the site and related platforms.

2.3 Transformational Coaching

  • Coaching supports mindset, habits, and personal development. 

  • Coaching is not psychotherapy, medical treatment, financial or legal advice. 

  • You remain responsible for your decisions, actions, and results.

2.4 Opinion Blog: "Ask Me" Advice Column

  • General opinions and suggestions in response to reader questions. 

  • Blog content is general information and not individualized professional advice.

  • We may edit or decline submissions at our discretion.

  • Current offerings, session lengths, formats, and prices are shown at booking. 

  • Availability may change. We may reschedule or refuse service if needed, including for misuse or safety concerns.

2.6 No Professional Advice

  • All services and content are for personal exploration. They are not a substitute for medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice. 

  • Please see a licensed professional for those needs.

3. Client Responsibilities

To Keep sessions effective and respectful, you agree to:

  1. Provide accurate information. Especially for astrology, you confirm that birth details are accurate to the best of your knowledge. Tell us if they are approximate. 

  2. Use good judgement.  You are responsible for any actions taken based on services or content. 

  3. Keep expectations realistic. Tarot and astrology are interpretive. Coaching supports change but does not guarantee outcomes. 

  4. Be respectful.  No harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour. We may refuse or terminate service if this happens. 

  5. Health and safety.  We are not emergency services. If you are in crisis, contact emergency or qualified medical services. 

  6. Confidentiality limits.  Private session information is kept confidential except where law requires disclosure or to prevent harm. Blog submissions are public. 

  7. Legal and ethical use.  Do not use the site or service for unlawful purposes. 

  8. Intellectual property.  Site content and delivered materials are our intellectual property. Personal use is fine. Reproduction or distribution requires permission. 

  9. Age requirement. You confirm you are 18+ when booking, submitting to the blog, or using the site.

4. Limitations of Liability

  1. Entertainment and Informational Purposes. All services and content provided by AskSookie.com, including tarot, astrology, coaching, and the "Ask Me" blog, are for entertainment and informational purposes only. They are not professional, medical, legal, financial, or mental health advice. 

  2. No Warranties. The services and site are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

  5. Maximum Liability.  If liability is found despite the above, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the services or site will not exceed the amount you paid for the service giving rise to the claim, if any.
